This is my 19th year of teaching elementary school. I have taught third, fourth, and fifth grade. I graduated from Lander University in 2004 with a degree in Elementary Education. After furthering my education, I received a Master's degree in Divergent Learning from Columbia College in 2006. I am also certified in gifted and talented education. I am here to make this a successful year for your child. No matter what past experiences have been, every child deserves a fresh, new start. I want, and I believe every child can succeed and thrive. Parents, teachers, and students working together can make that happen!
My husband Travis and I have 2 sons, Braden and Bentley, a pug named Macy, and 2 cats named Bo and Buddy! We love to travel and attend sporting events.
To parents: Speak positively of school staff and classmates in front of your child. Children learn by example and a positive attitude at home carries over to school (and vice versa), which leads to a more motivated student.
To students: You will make mistakes. I expect you to make mistakes. You will learn from them. (I also expect you to know multiplication facts! ;) )
