What a great place to be!! NSES is doing great work to grow readers! My name is Melinda Austin. I am an ELA Academic Coach for the district. I graduated from Lander College with my bachelor of science degree in elementary education and earned my Masters degree in elementary education from Lander University. Fortunately, I was given the opportunity to train at The Ohio State University and earned a Masters + 30 hours in reading as a Literacy Coordinator. I have been a teacher and/or ELA Academic Coach in Greenwood District 50 for 35 years. This is my fourth year at Greenwood District 52.
Family means so much to me. I am married to Danny, who is a realtor a Cambridge Realty in Greenwood. We have a son, Justin, who is married to Lauren. They have blessed us with two precious grandchildren. In addition, we have a daughter, Courtney, who is married to Matt. They have also blessed us with two grandchildren. We enjoy spending a lot of time with them at our home on the lake.
