My name is Alison Barnes. This is my tenth year teaching (all at NSES). I teach 4th grade, and previously taught 5th grade for the first three years of my career. I am a Ninety Six native, and I'm blessed to teach the future of our amazing community. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Lander University and a Master’s degree in Reading from Grand Canyon University. I am currently working toward a Master’s degree in Instructional Technology from Lander University. For the 2021-2022 school year, I was honored to represent Greenwood School District 52 as the District Teacher of the Year.
I live in Ninety Six with my husband (Corey), our daughter (Ansley), and our fur baby (Murphy). I enjoy spending time with them and my family and friends, walking, shopping, crafting, and binge-watching Netflix.
