Welcome to 5th Grade! I am Michelle Rowell, and I will be your Science and Social Studies teacher this year.  I am a graduate of Lander University where I received a B. S. Degree and a Masters Degree in Elementary Education.  As I begin my 37th year of teaching, and my 27th year at Ninety Six Elementary School, I am excited about getting to know each one of you and supporting you as you prepare to transition to the middle school next year.  In addition to teaching ELA and Social Studies, I also assist Mrs. Still with Honors Chorus, so I hope to see some of you participating in that program. 

    Our school theme this year is “Choose to Shine.” As we work together, I look forward to seeing your lights shine in academics, as well as in your interactions with others.  Let your lights shine this year because the world needs your light!  I am so glad that you are a part of our class!  You are the reason that I am here, so please do not hesitate to come to me whenever you need help.  We are going to have a wonderful year!
