Ms. A. Jenkins' fifth-grade advanced math THRIVE groups have been learning about volume, area, and perimeter. Using what they know about these math concepts, they are planning, designing, and creating their own Volume City to demonstrate their understanding of the new concepts.

The students are busy at Ninety Six Elementary School learning to perform Christmas carols on their keyboards. The students will have a recital for their class at the end of the unit.

Third grade students at Ninety Six Elementary School had a great time with their STEM activity as they tried to “Save Fred!” They all worked hard, collaborated with one another, problem solved, and learned from their mistakes!

Brittney Chambers from Beyond Abuse in Greenwood spoke to our students about being safe through her presentation "My Body is Mine".

Congratulations to our flag bearers for the 2023-24 school year. These students will be responsible for raising, lowering, and folding our flags daily. We would also like to thank Mr. Barksdale from the Boy Scouts who spent time this week training our students in proper flag folding and etiquette.

Our Grandparents' Day Drop-In is scheduled for Monday, September 11, 2023. Grandparents can visit their grandchild's classroom on Monday from 4:15 to 5:15 pm. Hope to see you there!

Fourth graders at Ninety Six Elementary School learned about mass, weight, and gravity this week in science as they completed several different investigations.

The Fourth Grade Field Trip to Ninety Six National Historic Site was fun and educational. The students learned about life in the 18th century and about the battles at Star Fort during the American Revolution.
